Scout Garden Clean Up-Moved to 4/23 due to pending weahter forecast

Posted on Apr 21 2014 - 5:38pm

As it was mentioned at the Pack meeting last week, we would like all the dens to meeting at Kings Highway Elementary School to help clean-out the garden beds and prep the soil for planting.

In case you don't know, the students at KHS, the Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts all take parts in planting and maintaining the vegetable gardens through the summer and in the fall the vegetables are picked and delivered to a local food bank. This is a great way for all of us to give back to our community.

Please arrive close to 6pm. If you have some garden tools or a wheelbarrow please bring them. We can also us a small rototiller. The garden beds are about 4 feet wide and 12 feet long. Not a lot of room for a large tiller.
